By Sea

One of the quintessential things to do on Milos island is to sail across its sapphire waters to uncover the top three secluded must-see locations of this unique destination:

  • Kleftiko – Iconic white rock formations rising from the sea, best explored by boat.
A masterpiece of nature, Kleftiko is a striking collection of towering white rock formations rising from the Aegean. Once a pirate hideout, this spectacular location is best explored by boat, where you can swim through hidden sea caves, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and marvel at the sculpted cliffs.

  • Klima – A charming fishing village with colorful ‘syrmata’ houses by the water.
These traditional dwellings, built into the rocks, were once used by fishermen to store boats during winter. Today, Klima is a picturesque stop where visitors can stroll along the waterfront, soak in the serene beauty, and witness one of the most magical sunsets on the island.

  • Sykia – A collapsed sea cave with a hidden, sunlit lagoon at its heart.
The cave’s dramatic opening allows light to filter through, illuminating the crystal-clear waters below. Accessible only by boat, Sykia is a fascinating spot, ideal for swimming, snorkeling (depending on the weather) and immersing yourself in the untouched splendor of the Aegean.
